Still no Halloween costume? We’ve got you covered

Still no Halloween costume? We’ve got you covered

The Halloween is just around the corner and you’re probably frantically looking for a great idea for your costume. Why not use what you’ve already got in your favourite place on Earth – your bed? Bed sheets, your sleeping cap, bathrobes, pyjamas, blanket and eye mask – everything you need for your perfect Halloween costume is already in or around your bed. Are you ready, sleepy head?

The Social Pun : Snapchat Ghost

You know what a ghost looks like, right. This is honestly the easiest option of the bunch, only because you've been dressing up like a ghost for Halloween since you were, like, seven. Add a smiley face, and boo — you're the Snapchat ghost.

You’ll need:

  • A bed sheet (white, of course!)
  • Scissors
  • Black sharpie

How to make the costume:

  • Grab a black Sharpie to sketch the eyes and mouth and use a pink highlighter for the tongue.
  • Now cut small holes in the middle of the sharpie-drawn eyes – if you want to be able to see. If sight is not all that important to you, you can do without this step, but you will need a reliable friend to lead your way.
  • Put the bed sheet over your head and you’re good to go!

P.S. When you’re over it and want to head home, you don’t even have to say goodbye. As the Snapchat ghost, there’s no explanation required. Just vanish.

The Stunning Classic: Sleeping Beauty

If you love to spend your time in bed (and everyone knows it!), then this is definitely the perfect costume for you.  You can actually go for good old classics and imitate Audrey Hepburn’s look from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. An oversize shirt plus an eye mask and you're set. Carry your cat around for some extra effect.

You’ll need:

  • An oversized shirt or a sexy night gown for a more dramatic look
  • An eye mask – the more glamorous the better

How to make the costume:

  • Well, it’s not very complicated! Put on your shirt and eye mask and wrap the blanket around your shoulders ( in case you are partying outside and don’t plan to freeze)
  • Don’t forget to create a messy hair look and if you really want to go all in, delicately smear some last night’s make-up all across your face.

The Snooze party: Pajama queen

This is another Halloween costume that only uses what you’ve already got, is incredibly comfortable and will definitely make you stand out. Grab your cutest pajama set, shrug on a furry coat, add a sparkly hat, one glove, and boots, and bam — you're ready to party (or for bed).

You’ll need:

  • Your favourite pyjamas or just boxers and an oversized T-shirt
  • Boots with high heels (if nothing else flats will do too)
  • A coat. The furrier – the better.
  • Kitschy accessories – sparkling bag, hat, leather glove

How to make the costume:

  • Jump into your pyjamas, pull on the coat, don’t forget about the boots and grab the sparkliest bag from your closet ( it might be the one from your prom party )
  • Don’t even think about combing your hair – pajama queens don’t care.

The Simpliest: Wendy From Peter Pan

Nightgowns are so underrated. Snag yourself a blue one and say you're Wendy while celebrating, then happily plop down and doze off once the night is over.

You’ll need:

  • Blue night gown
  • Blue cloth to tie your hair

How to make the costume:

  • Put on the night gown
  • Tie your hair with blue bow or any suitable piece of blue cloth
  • Put on innocent look and voila! You’re good to go!
